  1. Prepare the following documents in Word or PDF format:
    • A 1-2 page essay that describes career goals and commitment to the field of aging.
    • current résumé or Curriculum Vita
    • statement of financial need (narrative, no more than 1 page)

  2. Fill out the form below and attach the documents.

  3. In addition to the electronic application, you are required to submit the following materials:
    • Two letters of recommendation from professor or professional familiar with student’s abilities/accomplishments/goals. Letters may be sent in one of two ways:

    A. Emailed on letterhead to from the recommender.

    B. Letters can also be mailed on letterhead to P.O. Box 7905, Atlanta, GA 30357. Letters should be in a sealed envelope with the recommender’s signature across the seal.

    • Official transcript from current college or university.
      Electronic transcripts from the college or university are permitted. Please have the transcript emailed to If the transcript is being mailed, the official transcript must be in the university’s sealed envelope and mailed to P.O. Box 7905, Atlanta, GA 30357.

Supporting documents must be received via email or postmarked by February 9, 2018. Recipients will be notified by March 15, 2018. Please contact Amanda James at or 404-780-3380 with any questions.
